Come support local Santa Fe makers (including myself) this Saturday, December 7 at the String of Lights Holiday Market hosted by the AHA Festival of Progressive Arts! I will be selling stickers and pint glasses designed for the Santa Fe Dreamers Project, an immigration non-profit dedicated to defending LGBTQ asylum seekers in ICE detention. All proceeds will go directly to supporting their amazing work. Hope to see y’all there!
Neighbor
A solo show curated by Naomi Fawn of Curate Santa Fe. Exhibited at Art.i.Fact Gallery.
My newest body of work is centered on the idea of creating ‘portraits’ of landscapes and highlighting the unique emotions and personalities of our unfailingly present neighbors.
I find true comfort at the sight of a mountain ridge, the simple lines and shadows surrounding a tree, and the colorful, woven textures of the earth. I aim to convey these comforting sights in a new way and invite viewers to be present and reflect on the powerful presence of our neighboring landscapes. This work hopes to channel visually the intrigue and wisdom of our neighbors and bring them to a space where others can realize again the comfort and strength they provide.
